A Starlight Voyages private tour is one of our trips booked entirely for your group, or a custom itinerary built from scratch. It runs on your dates, at your pace, with the logistics handled end to end and Abdul and Anna along only if you want them.
Start with something we already run: a private night out of Vegas under the Mojave sky, Camp Howdy booked out for your group, the Utah workshop on your own dates, or a private Egypt trip. If none of those fit, tell us what you have in mind and we build the rest, close to home or on the far side of the world.

What a night with us feels like.
Whether you're a lone adventurer, don't travel much at all, love seeing the night sky and milky way or have desire to escape a city to see it for the first time; Abdul and Anna have got you covered! I've been on almost all of these tours so far and loved every bit of it. Always really cool people that come along and we always have a great time hiking beautiful places, and photographing the night sky. I usually travel alone doing stuff like this but going on these tours you don't really need to plan or think about all the logistics besides getting yourself to the rendezvous for the most part. Also, being in the middle of nowhere in the dark by yourself is scary but on these adventures we're with a whole group and have so much more fun talking under the night sky. For as long as I have money to spend I will go on as many tours as I can and has been worth every dollar. I highly recommend coming along on any or all of these adventures that you're able because Abdul and Anna are some of the coolest people I know and they have become experts of providing unique memorable stargazing and travel adventures.

What counts as a private tour?
Any trip we run just for your group. That can be one of our scheduled trips booked out entirely, like the Vegas night out, Camp Howdy or the Utah workshop, or a custom itinerary built from scratch, locally or abroad.
Can we have the Las Vegas night out to ourselves?
Yes. Book all eight seats and the van, the telescope and the guide are yours for the night, out of Vegas and back. Want to leave earlier or stay later? Tell us and we will bend the evening around your group.
Can we take over Camp Howdy or the Utah workshop?
Yes. Camp Howdy can be booked privately, and the Utah workshop can run on your own dates for your group. Send us your dates and we will put together a quote.
Do you plan private trips abroad?
Yes. We build private international trips around your dates, group and interests, with tested local partners on the ground. Our private trips page is the place to start, and Egypt, Your Way covers private Egypt in detail.
Will Abdul and Anna host it, or just plan it?
Either. We can host your trip personally, which is the premium option and the reason many people reach out. Or we plan and book everything with our local partners and you travel independently, with our support behind the scenes.
Do we need a camera or any night-sky experience?
No. Private trips are pitched at beginners and up, and coaching comes with the night. Bring a camera, or just bring a phone, or bring nothing and simply look up.
Can we bring children?
Yes. Our scheduled group departures are for adults 18 and over, but private trips are built around your party, so kids are welcome. Tell us ages when you reach out.
How much does a private tour cost?
It depends on the trip. Booking out one of our scheduled departures is priced when you book the whole departure, and custom itineraries are quoted once we know your dates, group size and hotel level. You will see exactly what is and is not included before you commit.
Are private tours refundable?
Because we block off calendars and pre-purchase permits, local transport and accommodation well in advance, private tour bookings are non-refundable. We recommend travel insurance to protect your plans.
