A Vegas night out under real dark sky.
A small-group night out from Las Vegas: we pick you up on the Strip, drive out to dark sky in the Mojave, and spend the night under the stars. Then we bring you back to the same spot, the same night.
Vegas glows. An hour and a half out, the desert goes properly black and the Milky Way comes out. We drive you to it, set up a telescope, and spend the night on the sky: the constellations, the stories behind them, and time to make your own photos.
It is a relaxed night, not a lecture. Comfy chairs, low music, and snacks and drinks for the ride home.

What the night looks like.
A rough shape of the evening. Exact times move with the season and the sky.
- 7:30 PMMeet on the Strip. We load up and roll out of the city lights.
- ~9:30 PMArrive at dark sky, about an hour and a half to two hours out. The Milky Way takes it from here.
- 9:30 PM to 1:00 AMA telescope, a tour of the sky, the stories behind the stars, and time for your own photos.
- ~1:00 AMChairs out, music low, snacks and drinks before the drive back.
- ~2:30 to 3:00 AMBack in Vegas, dropped where we met you.
It is a long night, so plan for a slow morning after and bring a layer more than you think you need. If you would rather leave earlier or stay later, tell us; with enough notice we can usually bend the night around your group.

Led by two experienced night sky voyagers.

Hosted by Abdul or Andres. Sometimes both!
Six years and a lot of miles together. Abdul and Andres have chased photos from the long Soviet-era rail lines of Uzbekistan to stormy nights above the Arctic Circle, scouted Egypt in 2021 to launch Starlight Voyages, and spent countless nights in Utah finding the darkest skies.
Abdul brings the sky lore, from Arab and Pacific traditions, and an eye for the frame. Andres is happiest at the telescope, where the gear and the details are his thing. Between them you get English, Arabic and Spanish.

Questions about the night out.
Last reviewed October 2026What exactly is this?
A small-group night out from Las Vegas. We meet on the Strip, drive out to dark sky in the Mojave with a telescope and your hosts, and spend the night under the stars. Then we drive you back to the same spot, the same night.
How big is the group?
Up to eight guests. Small on purpose: everyone gets time at the telescope, a turn with your host, and space to just look up. If you want the whole night to yourselves, book all eight seats.
How long is the night, and when do we get back?
Pickup is about 7:30 PM and we aim to have you back on the Strip around 2:30 to 3 AM. It is a long night. Plan for a slow morning the next day, and bring layers.
Do I need to know anything about the sky or cameras?
No. Abdul or Andres runs the telescope and the tour, and helps with photos from a phone or a camera. Beginners are the whole point. If you already shoot, there is room to go deeper.
Which languages is the tour in?
English, Arabic or Spanish. Abdul speaks English and Arabic, and Andres speaks English and Spanish, so tell us your language when you book and we will do our best to match you with a host.
Can you photograph us under the stars?
Yes. Portraits under the stars are an optional add-on, shot by your host. Ask us when you book and we will price it with your seats.
What should I bring?
Warm layers, since the desert cools fast after dark, and closed shoes. Bring a phone or camera if you want to shoot. We bring the telescope, the chairs, the snacks and the drinks.
What happens if it is cloudy?
We cannot control the weather, and we say so honestly. If the forecast looks washed out we will talk through options, which may mean another date or another site the same night. We watch the sky all day.
Where do you actually go?
Out into the Mojave, about an hour and a half to two hours from Vegas, to some of the darkest sky near the city. The exact spot changes with the season and the night.
How do we get there, and what is included?
We drive, and it is all included: round-trip transport from one central Strip pickup point, the telescope and sky tour, photo help, chairs and low music under the stars, snacks and drinks for the ride home, and any permits or fees.
Is the tour refundable?
Booking runs through our secure WeTravel checkout, and the terms are shown there. Read them before you book, and ask us anything first. We would rather answer a question than have you guess.
More ways to see the dark sky.
One night out is the easy way in. There are longer nights too, and dark-sky places we can plan around your group.
