About the Eclipse

On August 2, 2027, a total solar eclipse will occur in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East. In Africa, the path of totality will cross over Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Sudan, and Somalia. In Europe, the path of totality will cross over Spain and Gibraltar. In the Middle East, the path of totality will cross over Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Yemen. The maximum duration of totality for this eclipse will be 6 minutes and 23 seconds. Areas outside the path of totality will get a partial solar eclipse only.

Please Note:

Please note that while the itinerary and accommodations detailed represent our current plans, the significant popularity of this event may lead the Egyptian authorities to implement specific controls and arrangements in Luxor over the eclipse days. The exact arrangements for Eclipse Day will be finalized closer to departure (i.e. whether we view it from the grounds of Karnak temple, from our boat on the Nile, or from hotel gardens for example). The Nile Cruise schedules and shore excursions may also be amended slightly to fit around the eclipse. All excursions are provided by own Egyptologist guides and transport - not joining the large boat operated groups. We have confirmed allocations with providers, but owing to the unprecedented demand anticipated for these dates, we may also use some alternative hotels and boats of an equivalent standard should the need arise. In any case, all participants will be updated accordingly, as needed.

Itinerary Changes:

The itinerary is subject to change due to alterations in local flight schedules, weather conditions, or other meteorological factors that may affect the visibility of the eclipse. Viewing a solar eclipse is inherently weather-dependent. Abdul Dremali & Starlight Studio LLC reserves the right to alter & change the itinerary or re-route as required for the comfort, convenience and safety of the participants and for the proper management of the tour, or cancel the tour, while offering suitable alternatives to guests in a timely manner.

Such changes would not in any way depreciate the value of the tour.
